英語学習として思いついたものをやってみる３
今回は前回までとは異なる竹脇さんの動画の1曲目
「Mom's Old Hatchback (In Too Deep) 」の歌詞を調べて和訳してみました。

eachまたはeveryの強調形

まとめ
歌いだしの "You were bet friend" は、
"You are my best friend" に聞こえたのですが、
歌詞の参照先の表記に従いました。
過去形と現在進行形が入り混じった歌詞でした。
過去のことを思い返しつつ今の気持ちも歌っているのか、過去に立ち返って考えているため現在進行形になっているのか判断が難しいです。
はちみつ的には、若いころの友人(恋人？)との思い出を歌っているのかなと思いました。
青春時代の思い出を振り返り、あの頃は「私たちはいままで通りにいつまでも若くいられる」と思っていたと回想。
2番の歌詞冒頭の
「Where did it begin?（どこで始まったの？）」
「Where did it end?（どこで終わったの？）」
の "it" もいつの間にか始まりいつの間にか終わっていた青春時代のことなのかなと個人的には感じました。
